IPL Photofacial

IPL Photofacial is a very popular treatment that is often referred to as a laser, however it is a light based treatment that is extremely effective in treating overall skin texture and discolorization.

Often referred to as a laser, IPL (intense pulsed light) is actually a light-based treatment that is extremely popular and effective for treating sun damage, brown spots, age spots, facial redness, red blood vessels and improving overall skin texture and tone. An IPL photofacial is gentle and non-invasive, offering minimal downtime and an extremely high patient satisfaction rate. It can be used to treat any site on the body, the most common areas being the face, neck, hands and arms.

Downtime: Minimal. Mild post-procedure stinging, mild redness and swelling may last 1-2 days. Brown spots will become darker and fall off within several days to one week. Sun protection is recommended following treatment.

Maintenance: 1-3 treatments on average. Rosacea and patients with facial redness will require multiple treatments (3-5). Once desired results are achieved, maintenance treatments are recommended 1-2 times per year.

We recommend a consultation prior to a treatment for new patients to confirm you are a great candidate for treatment. Some patients we recommend pre-treating the area with bleaching creams and also a “test spot” before a full treatment. Our number one goal is to customize your treatment to your specific needs and skin type!
